Salmon fishing on the River Tay in Perthshire is world famous. The River Tay is one of the “Classic” rivers, boasting the UK record and is renowned for it’s spring fish. It also has many smaller tributaries such as the Ericht, Isla, Gary and Tilt which offer excellent salmon and trout fishing. These rivers and the prolific Angus fishing rivers North and South Esk are all within easy reach from Kinloch House Hotel and make this the ideal location for Scottish fishing breaks and holidays.

At Kinloch House all your needs can be taken care of by our experienced staff. Whether it is rod or boat hire, beginner tuition or experienced local knowledge from the guide we can arrange it. And let’s not forgetting the picnic hamper – our chef and his team will ensure you have one of the best.

Our two recommended area guides for fishing are Jock Monteith of Scottish Salmon Fishing Services and Dougy Morison of Kinnear Fishing.  They both have many years of experience on Scotland’s fishing rivers and will be happy to assist you with all your fishing requirements.

The season for Scottish salmon runs from the 15th of January until the 15th of October.
